Easter 2012

I'm about two months behind on my blog.  I don't have a lot of time to sit at the computer to get caught up.  And I've been having this really annoying issue of my pictures going in sideways.  (Anyone else having this problem, or have any suggestions on how to fix it?)  But today, I decided to take a moment in between child drama and loads of laundry to at least post Easter, sideways pictures and all.  So the big question is this, "Which is better, one post with 15 pictures or three separate posts on the same holiday?"  Today you get one giant post filled with sideways pictures.  Lucky you.

This event is usually the kick off of our Easter weekend.
We've gone every year since Tyson was 3.

Preston did well in his age group.  He probably got the most eggs of all three boys.

Tyson's age group is quite competitive.  He usually only gets a handful of eggs each year.  

I love this picture.  Tyson got a lemon war head in one of his eggs.  This is his sour face.  

Later than afternoon we colored hard boiled eggs (which were baked, not boiled).
Tyson's getting dramatic in pictures these days.  It's pretty funny.

Preston love blue eggs.  

Nolan did a little better with the eggs this year.  We had fewer broken ones.
Next year I'll try the whisk trick from Pinterest.

It's baffling to me why this picture isn't sideways.  

The next morning the boys woke up to baskets of candy and eggs.

They also loved getting new coloring books and sticker books.  They were a big hit this year,
and entertained the boys all day.  

And once the baskets were emptied they explored the house hunting for eggs.  

Nolan was more interested in opening the eggs than in hunting for them. 

And now we have an upside down picture.  I can't win.  

It took us two weeks before we finally found the last egg.  Also, not pictured was one of our new favorite traditions.  Saturday night we put Nolan to bed and made resurrection cookies with the big boys.  This was the first year they actually turned out well.   It's a tradition that I highly recommend.
