We enjoyed a nice backyard BBQ at Grandma and Papa's house.
We even unintentionally coordinated our outfits.

Great minds think alike.
We had a firework-free 4th this year. We gave my parents tickets to the Stadium of Fire to see the Beach Boys, so they were gone for the evening. And due to fire danger fireworks were banned in our city. No one seemed to mind and we were able to put the kids to bed at a semi-decent hour.
