Dan is much more spontaneous than I am.

Sometimes it's the park.
Sometimes it's the movie theater.
Sometimes it's the farm or dinosaur museum.
Regardless of where we go, Tyson loves it.
Tuesday was a dream come true for Tyson when Dan suggested, out of the blue, that we go to Chuck E Cheese's.
(Thanks to a commercial on Cartoon Network, Tyson has been begging to go for weeks.)
He didn't mind that I had him do some quick chores before we left
(I've never seen a kid clean toilets so quickly and happily).
Despite the sensory overload, Preston had a good time too.

Thats so fun for your boys! If Dan was more attentive when he has the boys you should have let him take the boys without you. But since you went on a week night it makes it a little better.
Your boys really do look like they are having the time of their lives!!
You are way cooler parents than we are. We still haven't ventured into Chuck E.'s world.
Totally hear you on the Valentines too. My kids get totally frustrated and my head explodes. This year was a little better with my first grader. There's no way I'd home school.
