Preston missed the cut-off for pre-school by four weeks. I was a little sad for him because I knew he was going to miss his brother terribly. And I knew how well he would do in a pre-school setting. You can only imagine my joy when I got a flyer on my door about a new pre-school in the area with a 2.5 -3 year old class! Preston was so excited when I told him all about it.
He didn't want to leave the day we visited the school and met his teacher. While most of the other kids were hesitant to leave their mother's side the first day of school, Preston eagerly ran in the door without a second glance. He's such a big kid and I'm so proud of him.
His school is only an hour long, twice a week, so it's hardly a break for me, but it's perfect for him.
