Birthday Wishes

I am getting older this week. So old I need to renew my Drivers Licence.
(Reminder to self: Don't forget to renew Driver's Licence)

I won't be 30 anymore, but I'll be in my 30's.

Why does that sound so much older?

I know you are all dying to know what I want for my birthday this year. Here is my wish list:

The Practical: I need a new phone. Our home phone had three handsets, which is perfect because our house has three levels. Then I washed one. For the last year or so, I've missed a lot of calls when I've been in the basement. The second handset gave up the ghost last week. I can't survive with only one handset. I've injured myself too many times while hurrying up or down a flight of stairs trying to get to the phone in time.

The Splurge: I would love a full day of pampering. A massage, a facial, a pedicure, the works. I'm also overdue to have my hair cut and colored. Throw in some food I don't have to make or clean up and I'd be the happiest girl on the planet.

The Silly and Random: I love cute tights. I would love a pair of cute stripy ( or polka dot!!) tights. Yes, I know I'm not 5 anymore.

The Impossible: I would love to have a Girls Night with these ladies. All of them. I know it's not going to happen. But that's what I want.

But I will settle for a regular day with the kids, since the hubby will be working. Pedi's with my sisters. A phone call from my nieces and nephews and/or grandma. And a homemade card or two.

That's all I really need anyway.

Oh, and plenty of hugs and kisses from the boys I love most.
