Preston: I want you to wear something else.
Me: What do you want me to dress like?
Preston: (in a dramatic whisper) Grandma

Preston: Mom, why aren't you dressed up for Halloween?
Me: Just because.
Preston: I want you to dress up. But I changed my mind.
Me: What do you want me to be now?
Preston: Padme.
12pm
Preston: Mom, what are you going to be for Halloween?
Me: I don't know Preston
Preston: Oh I know! You can be a butterfly.
1:30pm
Preston: Mom, for Halloween I want you to be a gun.. . .or a lightsaber. I want you to be Asoka's lightsaber.

My kids didn't ask or care. I think I'm offended now. I went ahead and donned my brother's Captain America outfit and the entire night, my 3 year old called me properly - Captain America!
