What's More American Than Baseball?

Tyson's elementary school has been focusing on Patriotism all year. They have been learning about the history of our country, the people who made it great, symbols of America, landmarks, how to be a good citizen, etc.

The entire first grade has been learning patriotic songs all year long in preparation for a Patriotic music program. (And they all participated in a reading program to earn their matching patriotic shirts.) I'm just as patriotic as the next person, but can I just tell you how sick I am of hearing these songs over and over and over and over and over again?

Did I mention that Tyson loves to sing?

Well, he does.

I typically don't mind his singing. Unfortunately he has this knack for turning any song into a song that will not end. He finds a way to loop a song over and over again, successfully avoiding the end for an interminable amount of time. Anyway, the program was adorable. The kids did a great job. The principal gave balloons to my little boys at the end. Tyson loved posing for pictures.

And as an added bonus, Preston learned the songs too (from Tyson's incessant practicing at home). He was really cute trying to sing along with the big kids.
