Wild Kratts

Have you heard of this new show on PBS kids? Wild Kratts is a huge hit at our house. Tyson is obsessed with the show, and Preston is following suit.

It a pretty cute show about the Kratt Brothers (you may know them from Kratts' Creatures in the '90s and Zooboomafoo). It's mostly animated, which is what makes this show different from other shows Chris and Martin Kratt have produced in the past.

They learn about wild animals by becoming one of them. With the use of their Creature Power Suits they can use the animals' DNA to take on the "creature power" of the animal they are studying.

A typical day at my house includes Tyson running in the door from school, dropping his coat and backpack and flying down the stairs to the TV room as fast as he can to catch the last 20 minutes of Wild Kratts. After his chores and homework are done he can be found creating his own Creature Power Suits, Creature Power disks, and Kratt Brother action figures. If he's not in the mood to draw he will beg mercilessly for computer privileges so he can play Wild Kratt games on pbskidsgo.org.

This is one of the Creature Power Suits Tyson has created. This is his firefly suit. Complete with goggles, knee pads, toe claws, belt, wings, and Creature Power Disk.
