More Easter Fun

Sunday evening, on the way home from Grandma and Papa's house, I asked Tyson what his favorite part of Easter was. Without much hesitation he said,

"Coloring Eggs. . . . . . and Jesus."

I expected him to say something about his new toys, or all the candy he ate, or hunting for eggs. I shouldn't have been so surprised that his favorite part was turning something BLUE!

I'm sure Preston would agree that coloring eggs is pretty great.

And true to his word, Tyson told us all about Jesus when we got home. While I was busy putting Preston to bed, Tyson finished coloring and cutting out his pictures from Primary so he could tell Dan and I the story of Jesus. When he was finished he called us into his room, and in a very somber voice told us the story of the Resurrection. It went something like this:

"Once there were people who didn't like Jesus. So they put him on a cross with nails in his hands and feet. He died. His friends and family took his body to a tomb. They had medicines for his body. They rolled a big stone in front of the door. Then the women came back and his body was gone. They were very sad. Then they saw Jesus there because he was risen."

It was funny, Tyson was going through the story in his head and decided he needed more visuals to go with his tomb and the stone. He cut out and colored a cross and 4 nails then he went through the story almost word for word with what Nicole posted, the only exception (at least from what I remember) is he got confused for a second and said that the women let him out of the tomb. He said he wanted to tell another Jesus story tomorrow "but not with the cross and nails"

Wow! At least you can be sure he is listening in Primary.

I wish he'd have told the story while he was at our house. I know Grandma and I would have loved to hear it.

I'm still amazed that you have something to post every single day. Sometimes I have to search for something to post weekly. I guess when you have two cute kids that happen to be geniuses it is a lot easier. Way to go Tyson! You are one smart cookie.

He hit the main points. Short, sweet and to the point.
Way to go.
