After putting Preston to bed a few nights ago, I decided to let Tyson stay up with me while I watched American Idol. He quickly became bored of the show and disappeared for awhile. He came back asking for help with the scotch tape. He was making a book. He had finished the illustrations and wanted to assemble the book before he wrote the text.
No picture will adequately capture the character of this book. So you will have to visualize it.
It's seven sheets of paper haphazardly taped together on one end forming a book. Each page is illustrated with crayon drawings of volcanoes.
He wrote "Volkanoz" on the cover in orange crayon.
After the taping was complete he wrote a fact about volcanoes on each page.
(A blue volcano, with red lava and a green dragon)
"Volknoz R Mntinz"
(Volcanoes are Mountains)
"Draginz liv bi Volknoz"
(Dragons live by Volcanoes)
"Volknoz shoot hat lovu"
(Volcanoes shoot hot lava)
"Volknoz urupt on vilijiz."
(Volcanoes erupt on villages)
He is so proud of his book and so am I.

That is so cool!! What a smart little boy. Reading his book makes me think I am reading a foreign language.
That is great! I love the way he is spelling things phonetically, so I'm a little curious why he used a 'g' in 'viligiz' instead of a 'j'. (I know 'g' is correct but not the obvious choice when spelling strictly phonetically.)
Anyway, I'll have to get him some more 'book' paper to use so you don't have to tape them together.
Oops, my mistake. He did use a 'j'. I'll fix that.
What a smart kid!
What a smart little author! Ready for Kindergarten- thats for sure!
Wow I am empressed with his knowledge of Valcanoes! I love the way he spells the words he is pretty close.
He is such a smart kid!
In answer to your question on my blog...I haven't seen any drastic changes except he eats better. When we are officially on growth hormone than I am sure he will start growing. They said that the reason we are doing it for a year is to see if it does help his growth, and if it doesn't than we will stop them. Let's hope that it works!
What a smart boy!
