The Zoo

To celebrate the warm weather we are/were having, we joined our favorite friends for a day at the zoo. It's been a year since we've been to a zoo, and I knew Preston was going to love it. He is in that
animals-are-the-greatest-thing-since-sliced-bread stage
that nearly all toddlers go through.

Here he is getting up close and personal with a Columbus monkey (aka bunky)
Don't ask me why, but this kid loves reptiles. He kept trying to get a better look at the snakes. (aka nake)

But by far his favorite animal is a turtle. He would have climbed in the cage, had I let him.
He saw the turtles from 15 feet way, took off running towards them, ducked under the bar, and started stomping his little feet, yelling,
"Turtoe! turtoe! turtoe!"

Tyson loved seeing the stars of Madagascar.
Including, but not limited to, King Julian, and the penguins.

The Lemurs

The Penguin display
(notice Preston is trying to climb up like his big brother.)

Other highlights of the day included riding the Carousal and the Train (aka Choo Choo Truck)

(Top: Korina, Tyson, Justin Bottom: Me, Preston, Alia & Tosh. Ryan is taking the picture)

And what trip to the zoo would be complete without a picture with the giant gorilla wall?

Looks like they had fun! I don't think I could go to the zoo again without kids...they get too excited and make it that much more of an adventure.
