Tyson: Hey Mom, When is Veterinarians Day?
Me: {snickering} Do you mean Veterans Day?
Tyson: Yeah.
Me: Today is Veterans Day.
Tyson: What do you get to do on Veterans Day?
Me: {Insert long discussion of who Veterans are and how we can love and support them.}
Me: You could draw a picture or write a Thank you letter for one of the Veterans in our neighborhood.

Tyson: Can I paint?

Me: Sure.

Tyson: I can imagine how sad it would be if Dad had to leave us for a long time.

Me: Yeah, that would be really sad. But we would support him if that what he wanted or needed to do.
